Part One - Wake with the dawn chorus for the first game drive. The sun might still be low to the horizon, but the cool morning is peak viewing time. Spot nocturnal animals returning from the hunt and others beginning to stir. Part Two - As the day fades, a whole other world of animals emerges into the evening. It’ll take a little more to spot them, but with your guides’ keen eyes and your senses now attuned to the sounds, scents and movements of the bush, this experience captures the very essence of safari.

Led by your expert guides, these are our walks on the wild side. For those who want to experience the bush, beyond observing it, there is no more real excursion. Walks offer the rare opportunity to get off the vehicle and in touch with nature. On foot in the bush, you'll walk in the tracks of the wildlife, unravel the stories of the animals’ spoor, explore dry pans, and get closer to the action. Hear, touch, see, and smell to take it all in!

Built on the site where our ancestor Guy Aubrey Chalkley made camp in a centuries-old leadwood tree. Light only by the soft glow of lanterns and the absence of Wi-Fi create an au-naturel bush experience for two. But added creature comforts mean you won’t be roughing it.

While out on safari, a surprise is being prepared for your return… Tables are carried out from the lodge, the fire is lit, and lanterns light the way to tonight’s dinner. A barbeque feast is shared, while the choir sings and the distant honks and hoots of animals join in.
