Camp Kipwe

Enjoy delicious meals - a fusion of local and international cuisine in the dining thatched dome with stunning views toward the Aba Huab; outside in the boma when dinner is a fire-cooked meal, or on your private wooden deck.

Usually departs at 06h30 and will go out for about 4 – 6 hours to explore the surrounding area and search for the desert adapted animals, such as the desert-adapted elephants and desert black rhino. Drinks and snacks are included.

Available at Mowani Mountain Camp (4km away). Guests are free to follow the short walking trails with information showing the names of different plants and trees on their own (or, depending on guide’s availability they are welcome to ask the guides to take them on a longer walk. Additional cost applies)

Lounging by the pool or relaxing on your private deck is also a wonderful way to enjoy the spectacular surroundings.

This excursion usually departs at 15h00 and lasts for about 2 hours taking in the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site of Twyfelfontein to explore the rock engravings, along with seeing Burnt Mountain and the Organ Pipes. Twyfelfontein is famous because of its many rock paintings and rock engravings (Petroglyphs) of the San (Bushmen) of which 2500 were counted. Specifications about the age of the engravings fluctuate and a period of 1000 – 10000 years is stated.
