River Safari
No Chobe safari is complete without experiencing the beauty of the Chobe River and its incredible wildlife by boat. The riverboats are specifically designed to ensure each passenger can take in the magnificent Chobe views in complete comfort from anywhere on the boat. Elephants line the water’s edge, hippo congregate in lagoons, hundreds of antelope and giraffe make their way to the water and sightings of predators along the river banks are common. All of the boats at Chobe Game Lodge are solar-electric powered boats – a clean and quiet way to enjoy a boat safari and another first for tourism in Africa.
In Camp
With six comfortably furnished viewing decks, a riverside boma, two bars, six different lounges and four dining locations, a comfy chair or lounger is never far away, each with a different perspective on the wilderness that surrounds the lodge. A large swimming pool provides welcome relief during hot afternoons and there is always a waiter on hand to bring you refreshments from the bar.
Wellness
Guests wishing to pamper themselves are welcome to book one of the delightful treatments from our in-house beautician (for which there is an extra charge) or hit the gym for some exercise between the usual Lodge activities (complimentary).
Chobe Balloon Safari
Between 1 May – 15 September each year you can book an incredible Balloon safari over the Seloko Plains on a 3 night stay or more. Combined with exploring the Chobe region by electric boat and vehicle, this new and never-experienced-before activity is certain to give you a whole new perspective on this world renowned National Park. Start your morning before the birds to make sure you are at the launch site in time to catch the sunrise. Your morning then finishes with a hosted breakfast before your return to the lodge for the rest of your day on the Chobe Riverfront.
