On Safari

Guests enjoy exciting morning and evening game drive safari -maximum of 4 per vehicle. After sunset, nocturnal spotting is conducted with the aid of high-powered spotlights. These drives are conducted and guided an experienced Range. MalaMala Game Reserve is the proud home to more than 200 mammal species, including its Big Five (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard), hyena and wild dog, cheetah, giraffe and various antelope, hippo, and warthog.

Bush Walks

For the more adventurous, a close-up encounter with the diverse bush of the area is available via the guided bush walk, on request.

Photographic experience

The photographic experience includes a dedicated photographic ranger to guide you through your safari. Their intuitive knowledge of animal behavior and skilled positioning of the vehicle affords one enhanced wildlife photographic opportunities. This, coupled with the option of either a sliding, cushioned camera rail or a fixed, cushioned camera rail, affords one the greatest comfort and stability when attempting to capture those quintessential wildlife images you’ve been waiting for.

Relax at the pool whilst a herd of impala and a family of warthog graze in front of the lodge.

In between game viewing activities you can enjoy a workout in the small gym, which is equipped with stationary bicycle, treadmill, multigym machine, sit up benches, free weights, mats and a steam room
