Set on the vast 136,000-acre Matetsi Private Game Reserve, Matetsi Victoria Falls offers a truly exclusive safari experience. Here you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy morning and evening game drives as well as night drives and optional walking safaris. The area is well known for breeding herds of elephant and buffalo. The latter provide prey for the large prides of lion that call this area home, whereas the elusive leopard and active wild dog prefer impala and baboon, which thrive in this protected area. Giraffes enjoy the albida trees, while zebra and kudu move beneath them. Wildebeest, Sable, Roan and Eland can be found in the South of the property.

Matetsi Private Game Reserve lies along 9 miles of private Zambezi river frontage, and we offer exclusive river cruises, including the stunning sunrise cruise and the renowned Zambezi river sunset cruise. You’ll be joined by your personal guide and tracker, who will share the wonders of the Zambezi river with you. If you’d like to try amateur fishing, our team can organize that for you too. Canoeing is a wonderful way to experience the spectacular Zambezi, and her incredible flora and fauna. The banks of the river are home to magnificent trees, fabulous bird life, and a wide variety of wildlife. Some guests have been fortunate enough to see elephants swimming in the water ahead of them and have sighted the rare Pel’s fishing owl. Knowledgeable and professional canoe guides have extensive experience canoeing the mighty Zambezi, and your safety is their top priority. They expertly navigate the deep-water channels along a very tranquil section of the river. This activity is suitable for children aged 16 years and older.
