Event VenuesShiraz Room
There are four Shiraz Rooms with king-size beds and all feature courtyard or valley views.
Merlot Room
Merlot Rooms are larger than the Shiraz Rooms and also boast king-size beds with valley views.
Cabernet Room
The six Cabernet Rooms are located in the Vineyard Wing, and all include a private terrace overlooking the valley.
Pinotage Suite
There are four spacious Pinotage Suites located in both the Manor Wing and Garden Wing, each of which features a separate lounge and fantastic views.
Cap Classique Suites
Cap Classique Suites, are the largest rooms and offer a separate lounge area, a private terrace, and their own plunge pool. Both suites are in the Vineyard Wing.
Manor House
Manor House is a luxury villa located a short walk from the main hotel and just a stone's throw away from the Country Kitchen. The perfect option for a family group or guests looking for a more private retreat, the Manor House features four beautifully appointed suites, kitchen, lounge, two swimming pools, and gym. Manor House is available for exclusive hire all year round and can accommodate up to eight guests sharing, plus bunkroom for up to six children.
MIKO
MIKO’s cuisine is best described as a taster to South African favourites with each of the seasonal dishes telling a story, using the freshest most local ingredients, which pair beautifully with our award-winning wine list. With its covered terrace, guests have the option of dining alfresco all year round.
The Country Kitchen
The Country Kitchen is Mont Rochelle's informal restaurant located just a short walk or a quick drive from the main hotel building and adjacent to our wine cellar. If you’re visiting the Country Kitchen for lunch, a picnic, or if you’re off to the wine cellar just let us know and we’ll take you over in one of our vehicles.

We’re more than happy to help create a tailored wedding experience that’s personal to you. We can arrange everything from intimate ceremonies just for the two of you to larger celebrations
Swimming Pool
Take a dip and relax in the main outdoor heated swimming pool at Mont Rochelle - there are some fantastic views of the Franschhoek Mountains. Bar service is available around the pool and fresh pool towels are available.
Wine Tasting
Wine tasting at Mont Rochelle isn't just a special event; it’s an everyday occurrence! Tastings can be arranged in a variety of locations, including at our restaurant, MIKO, at our bar, at The Country Kitchen and in our wine cellar.
The Spa at Mont Rochelle
What could be more relaxing than an indulgent spa treatment? The Spa at Mont Rochelle has two dedicated spa treatment rooms, as well as a Hammam. We use the eco-friendly Africology ‘Authentic’ range of products which are made from 100% essential oils and natural plant extracts.
Gym
For the active types, our gym is available between 6am and 10pm every day. There are two treadmills, bikes, an adjustable bench and suspension training pack, dual adjustable pulley and a multipower machine, set of free weights and a body ball.
Hiking
Enjoy a hike through the hills, valleys and vineyards surrounding the hotel, as well as in local nature reserves. The Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve on the opposite side of the valley offers superb views of the wine valley and on a clear day you can even see Table Mountain and the ocean! The walks vary in length from 3 to 8 hours and are of moderate intensity. You will need to acquire a 1-day permit. You are welcome to take walks through the farm.
Picnics at Mont Rochelle
Enjoy a special picnic in the grounds of Mont Rochelle. Filled with delicious local produce, you can choose a selection of South African cheeses and charcuterie with homemade preserves and chutneys or perhaps spiced lemongrass and tuna fish cakes with tomato relish.
