Many meals are served on the camp’s outdoor viewing deck, although covered dining areas are available to beat the heat or rain. The day begins with an early-morning wake-up call with hot drinks and biscuits and a light breakfast before your morning activity. You return for a hearty home-cooked brunch – English breakfast if you like, or perhaps pasta dishes, a quiche and salad – with the prospect of afternoon tea and cakes too. You enjoy cold drinks and snacks out on your afternoon activity and sit down in the evening to a three-course dinner complete with house wines.

Game drive through the concession for close-up encounters with a range of animals that are as diverse as the landscapes whizzing past.

The main area is a lofty space raised deck and strewn with cushions, sofas and armchairs to flop into for an afternoon of view-gazing and wildlife-watching. Handily, it’s positioned in the perfect spot to watch the sunset so if you choose to stay in camp for an evening, you won’t be disappointed.

Drift through the lily pads on a mokoro safari and reach all the corners of the Delta that a vehicle simply can’t reach. Float along the waterways and rivers on a boat safari, keeping an eye out for the wildlife wandering beside you. Whilst the Khwai River is the main water source in the area, the waterways that spindle out through the grasslands attract game from far and wide, and there’s no shortage of zebra, giraffe, antelope and other plains game.
