Or for a more intimate experience a private dining experience down by the pool is available, if requested. There is also the ‘champagne drop’, which happens mostly on a mokoro ride, when guests are surprised with a stopover to pop open a bottle of champagne hidden in the reeds. Boma nights are always popular, when staff dress in traditional outfits and sing and dance to local songs. There’s always a lot of fun and laughter on those occasions.
Game Drives
Guests will enjoy game drives on open 4×4 Land Cruisers to view the wealth of wildlife by day. The Qorokwe concession comprises various biomes, from scattered acacia woodland with herds of giraffe, zebra and various plains game to pristine floodplains, home to curious red lechwe and mud-encrusted buffalo bulls, whence the name Qorokwe is derived: “The place where the buffalo broke through the bush into the water.” Besides the local 15-member lion pride, elephants are a feature of this classic Okavango Delta setting.
