Event VenuesLuxury Tented Suites
Designed by architects Silvio Rech, Lesley Carstens, and Kenya’s King of Canvas, Jan Allan, Angama Mara’s elegant, tented suites feature an 11-metre-wide floor-to-ceiling glass front. The lodge is made up of two separate camps, North and South Camp, each with 15 identical tented suites. Every suite offers the same breathtaking view, with sunrise bringing a daily spectacle as hot-air balloons drift across the horizon.
Interconnected Family Suite
Each camp features two sets of interconnected family suites, identical to the tented suites but with a fully enclosed walkway linking them. This thoughtful design allows guests to enjoy their own space and privacy while ensuring safe and convenient access between the suites.
Patty's Tent
Elderly guests or those with restricted mobility have the option of staying at Patty's Tent, a specially designed tented suite with thoughtful modifications such as grab rails and ramps. Without compromising on comfort or luxury, Patty’s Tent features grab rails in the shower and w/c, a spacious layout free of unnecessary furniture, and gently sloping ramps in place of level changes. Additionally, all gravel paths between the tent, guest areas, and vehicle drop-off points have been cleared for ease of access.
Out of Africa Picnics
Enjoy an intimate private picnic for two (maximum four) on the iconic Out of Africa kopje, featured in the film’s famous poster. With checked blankets, plush cushions, a gourmet picnic, and sparkling wine on ice, it's the perfect setting for elegant romance.
Sundowners in the Maasai Boma
With a traditional dawa (local mojito) in hand, toast the sun as it sets behind the Rift Valley from the lodge’s Sundowner Boma. Enjoy the mesmerizing sounds of Maasai warriors as they sing, dance, and perform their iconic jumping.
Forest BBQ
Gather in a lantern-lit forest for a fireside feast, where dinner is cooked over open coals. Guests dine family-style at long wooden tables, savoring hearty dishes served on enamel plates with dishcloths for napkins. It’s fun, it’s relaxed, and most of all, it’s delicious.
The Shamba
Explore Angama Mara’s charming one-acre kitchen garden before indulging in a soil-to-fork lunch beneath towering moth trees. Enjoy crusty bread, local cheese, chilled rosé, and the freshest salads, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Mara.
High Tea
At Angama Mara in Kenya's Maasai Mara, guests can indulge in afternoon tea featuring a selection of cakes, sandwiches, and scones, complemented by panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley.
Safaris
Game drives at Angama Mara are tailored to guests' preferences, with no set schedule. A short 10-minute drive down the lodge’s private road brings guests into the Reserve. While wildlife is abundant around the lodge, the heart of the action is found in the iconic Mara Triangle, a prime year-round Big Five destination.
Walking Safaris
Guests can explore a vast expanse of wilderness along the Siria Escarpment, guided by a Maasai naturalist. Walks can be tailored to any length, offering the chance to uncover the smaller wonders of nature—plants, birds, insects, and animals—while learning about their significance in traditional Maasai beliefs and customs
