Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s oldest and largest park, where the Nile crashes through a narrow gorge and plunges 40 metres to create one of Africa’s most powerful waterfalls. This dramatic setting is surrounded by rich savannahs, riverbanks, and forests teeming with wildlife. Game drives reveal elephants, lions, and giraffes, while boat cruises to the base of the falls offer unforgettable views. Birdwatchers are in for a treat, with over 450 species including the rare and elusive shoebill stork.
