Continue to explore the “Mother City” – the inner City, it’s heritage and surroundings…
Company Gardens - The park and heritage site were originally established in the early 1650s by the European Settlers arriving in the area. The gardens provided fresh fruit and vegetables to the ships seeking replenishment when rounding the Cape on their journey to the East.
After your stroll through the serene Company Gardens, as you make your way to the Wale Street where the iconic ''Arch'' monument stands. The monument was created to commemorate the life and work of Desmond Tutu - lovingly referred to by South Africans as ''The Arch'' - as well as a tribute to the values of the South African Constitution. The Arch was installed beside the historic St. George's Cathedral which is also known as the ''People's Cathedral'' for its role in the resistance against the Apartheid Regime.
Visit the picturesque Bo-Kaap a historic area that became home to many Muslims and freed slaves after the abolition of slavery. Discover the unique culture, lifestyle, and personality during a walk through the area. Day 3
A day in the beautiful Cape Winelands of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.
Explore the second oldest town in South Africa, Stellenbosch and walk down the canal-lined avenues, in the shade of giant oak trees and beautifully preserved historic buildings, cafes, boutiques and art galleries. Simon van der Stel - the Governor of the Cape Colony at the time - established the town in 1679 and the remaining Cape Dutch architecture gives a sense of this Dutch colonial history.
Travel over the Helshoogte Pass to the town of Franschhoek, which was home to the French Huguenots in the 17th century. Billed as the gourmet capital of South Africa, this charming town, in the most picturesque valley, retains a strong French Huguenot style represented in the longstanding architecture and lifestyle.
Enjoy wine tasting at picturesque wine estates that will leave you wanting to come back for more.
5PM Tour ends at the Hotel.
Day 4
Enjoy a full day tour of the Cape Peninsula with its natural treasures and spectacular scenery.
Your adventure starts with your scenic drive along Atlantic Seaboard via Sea Point, Clifton, Camps Bay and Hout Bay, a quaint seaside village with magnificent mountain views and Chapmans Peak Drive, one of the world's most spectacular coastal drives.
Rugged rocks and sheer cliffs towering more than 200 metres above the sea and cutting deep into the ocean, provide a spectacular background for the Cape Points rich biodiversity. The natural vegetation of the areas – fynbos – comprises the smallest but richest of the world’s six floral kingdoms. Watch the dramatic clash of the seas from the viewpoint which can be accessed by a foot or the Flying Dutchman Funicular.
Historic Simons Town, a village with charming Victorian architecture, a naval base and a large penguin colony at the beautiful Boulders Beach.
